PROBITAS ET INTEGRITAS
Service Modalities

What service environments do you offer?

Duncan & Co. provides three distinct avenues for engagement. Mobile Services bring our bureau to your doorstep or boardroom. For those preferring a formal legal environment, we offer In-Office appointments. Additionally, we are commissioned to perform Remote Online Notarization (RON), allowing for the secure, digital execution of documents regardless of your physical location, utilizing state-approved audio-video technology.

Identification

Must the identification be physical and current?

For physical engagements, a physical, government-issued photo ID is mandatory. For Remote Online Notarization, we utilize multi-factor identity proofing and credential analysis as required by Colorado law. In all instances, identification must be current (not expired) and contain a signature and physical description.

Witness Protocols

Can Duncan & Co. provide “Disinterested Witnesses” if I have none?

Yes. While many legal documents (such as Wills or certain Powers of Attorney) require one or more disinterested witnesses, we understand that clients may not always have individuals available who meet these legal criteria. Duncan & Co. can provide professional witnesses for your engagement. We simply ask for additional lead time when scheduling so that we may secure the presence of these individuals for your signing.

Estate & Healthcare

Do you perform hospital or bedside signings for directives?

We frequently assist families and legal counsel with urgent estate planning at healthcare facilities. However, the signer must be “Lucid and Aware.” We are legally required to verify that the signer understands the nature of the document they are executing. If a signer lacks cognitive clarity, we must respectfully decline the engagement to protect the integrity of the document.

Corporate & International

Can you assist with Apostilles for international use?

While only the Secretary of State issues the Apostille certificate, we provide the foundational step: a properly notarized document that meets Colorado’s standards for authentication. We ensure that our seals and signatures are on file with the relevant authorities to facilitate a seamless international transition for your corporate or personal documents.

The Notarial Act

How do you ensure the visual prestige of the seal in Colorado?

Per Colorado law, we utilize a rectangular rubber ink stamp for all official acts. To uphold our firm’s standards of prestige, we utilize custom-engineered, high-definition stamps that produce a crisp, sharp impression. This ensures that your documents remain legally compliant while maintaining the professional aesthetic expected of a Duncan & Co. engagement.

The Investment of Service

Our fee schedule reflects the specialized nature of our service, whether mobile, in-office, or remote. Please note that the provision of firm-supplied witnesses incurs an additional professional fee. For an itemized engagement estimate, please direct your inquiry to our central bureau.
